Something beyond

All that an aware mind looks for is clarity, clarity of mind. Many a times our perceptions are distorted. What meets the eyes need not be true. We have had experienced this many a times. A stick, half in water and half out looks bend. A board which has the picture of a parrot on one side and the cage on the other side, when rotated along its vertical axis shows that the parrot is in the cage. Now we know for sure that neither the stick is bent nor the parrot is in the cage but our senses deceive us day and night. But all that we believe and know in the visible world is through our senses. And how many times have we doubted them?

There is something more than what seems to exist. Something beyond what the senses can perceive. That ‘something beyond’ makes its presence felt when logic does not work, when planning fail ….something beyond the intellect. It rules …it maintains this creation…and also transforms it…That ‘something beyond’ knows me much better than I know myself…. It is an experience, is a realization, is a recognition…

Gift

It was the time with the Divine. We had a short and sweet Satsang with Guruji today evening in Pune. Thousands of people assembled on a very short notice. Guruji was flooded with gifts and sweets from the devotees. He picked up one gift packet and said. Life is a gift. You need to open the gift. The outer cover is glossy and colorful. But the sweets are inside. One who finds the sweets shares with others. You need to open, remove the cover for the sweets...madhuradhipate rakhilam madhuram....

Guruji in Nagar

The evening was enchanting. It has to be when Guruji is around and that too for a Mahasatsang. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti Guruji was in Ahmednagar on 14th Jan.

Guruji started with "tiLguL ghya, god god bola". Even if you don't eat sweet, you should speak sweet. And then He said "chinta karu naka" (do not worry). Give all your worries to Me. I want to see a smile on your face. If you don't see anyone smiling around, tell them to give away their worries to Guruji. Just know that I am with you. The Divine is with you. 

If you feel that this life is not worth living, give it to Me. Live this life for me. But never think of committing suicide.

He said spirituality cannot be separate from our day to day activities. If business is devoid of spirituality, there will be corruption. Sadhana, Seva and Satsang are important. Sadhana for ourselves, Seva for the people and Satsang for the Divine.

He was talking how a youth should be. He should have four qualities -

Samadarshi

Satyadarshi

Priyadarshi

Three things are important

Gan-singing

Gyan-knowledge

Dhyan-meditation

Then he asked who has pain in the body. The pain and ache is because of the chemicals that we in take through our food. The farmers should go for chemical free farming. He also led the "Hara" meditation. "Hara" means one who takes away the pain. Most of the people experienced healing after the meditation. 

He again reiterated that we should go for Ayurvedic medicine and emphasized on taking Triphala. Who doesn't want a 'Nirogi Sharir' (disease free body), 'Tikshna Buddhi' (sharp intellect), 'Prafullit Mann' (blossomed mind) and 'Tript Atma' (contented soul)? The power of spirituality will give this.

Guruji said that when so many people meditate together, it's like a mahayagya. Today before sleeping you can make a wish.

Well, isn't this a wish fulfilling Guruji to be around You. A blessing incomparable!!!

Lesson in belongingness

It was August 2001. That was when i met Guruji for the first time. I was at the Bangalore Ashram for the Advance Course. I had heard and read so much about Him, that I was really really excited to see Him, to talk to Him. Guruji was not in the Ashram for the first 2 days. Those days Swami Pragyanandji (i was told, he is a guest from Rishikesh) would give discourses on the Shiv Maha Puran in the evening.

Guruji was at the Satsang on the 3rd day. It is really a lesson in respect to see how He greets and receives and garlands the Swamis and Rishis from other Ashrams. That evening during the satsang one devotee asked a question on 'tark and vitark' and Guruji very beautifully diverted the question to Swamiji saying
"eska uttar to swamiji hi denge"
(Swamiji will answer this question).
Swamiji threw a glance at all of us sitting there and replied
"yeh sab to aapke bhagat hai, aaphi se sunna chahate hai"
(all these are your devotees and they want to listen from you).
Guruji spontaneously replied,
"yeh sab mere hai aur mein to aapka hoon Swamiji".
(they are all mine and I belong to you Swamiji)

You should had been there to see the spark on Swamiji's face. Till then i had only heard about melting moments. This was the first time i experienced it. After that Swamiji went on and on with the knowledge session. That evening Swamiji talked about one couplet from a Sufi saint,

"meri hi kudrat, mere hi jalwe, teri tamanna kaun kare.
Eshq hi awwal, eshq hi aakhir, husna parasti kaun kare."
Meaning - When this creation is mine and all its play and display is also mine, then who will crave for you? When love is the beginning and love is the end, who will get entangled in forms now?
